Round One

Adventure Two

Plot Summary

A team of Storm Knights travel to Japan to expose 3327 and bring down his realm. They meet their contact and proceed to gather evidence. In their investigation, they discover the form of 3327's stelae and attempt to reveal this information to the world. Then they must make their escape from the country into space, for the next adventure. Most of the drama for this adventure comes from the interaction of the pregenerated characters.

SCENE ONE

Standard. In this scene, the Guildmaster gathers the Storm Knights in a hotel room in Hawaii and briefs them on their mission. They are being hired by unknown parties to uncover evidence of corruption in Japan’s upcoming political campaign. The ruling coalition is enjoying good standing in the polls after the recent trade agreement with China. This agreement has led to great concern to Core Earth leaders who know that 3327’s reality has now spread over that country.

Mostly, this is a scene for the player characters to get acquainted with one another, knowing that every mission into Japan brings the possibility of treachery.

SCENE TWO

Standard. The Storm Knights arrive at the airport/spaceport in Tokyo. Describe a majestic, lifting-body spaceplane as it glides to a landing. Suddenly, a security alert is sounded and all passengers come under intense scrutiny (taking away the Knights’ favorite toys).

They learn that Jeff Mills, a Storm Knight who had prophetic knowledge of the Possibility Wars, was assasinated in the terminal.

SCENE THREE

Standard. The Knights travel to meet their contact, a female student at Tokyo University. They arrive to find her in a protest against the abuses in the Japanese political process. The Knights may have to defuse (or fight in) a tense scene with riot control police.

The Student has been working on a comprehensive study of Kawara-VAN, the largest information service/computer BBS in Japan. Using the information provided by their employer, the party pieces together the evidence to prove that a seemingly random string of lost mail and system failures are actually a complex effort to prevent the dissemination of Glory tales. The final piece of evidence tracks the focal points of the electronic conspiracy to junction boxes and Automated Teller Machines owned by the Bank of Japan. The Knights must get this information to the public.

SCENE FOUR

Dramatic. What happens next is up to the party; they can try to break into a network broadcast or some other major event and present their evidence. Use the floor plans for Toranaga Chemical (p. 109 of the Tokyo Citybook) for a Corporate raid. They may also attempt to reach the emperor of Tokyo; use the map on page 66.

SCENE FIVE

Dramatic. Depending on whether the Knights succeed or fail, they must get away from police or- as the government declares martial law- military troops. Encourage them to go to the airport and attempt to hijack a spaceplane for the next adventure in orbit.
