    GB Tech is a provider of engineering services with about 400 employees nationwide. I have supported several projects at GB Tech:

    My principal duties are:

    April 2006 to February 2007 - Software Engineer — Technisource, Fort Lauderdale, Florida

    I worked in the Technisource Engineering facility to provide a deliverable to Smiths Aerospace for the Boeing 767 Global Tanker Transport Aircraft.

    The deliverable was the Hose Drogue Controller (HDC), a PowerPC running the VxWorks RTOS. The code was written in C and compiled with gcc under CygWin and Wind River Tornado.

  • Developed process and directed team (20 engineers) in implementing DO-178B Level B Coverage testing with LDRA Testbed
  • Performed functional requirements verification of Control Laws, ARINC 429 interface, and Built-in Tests through code inspections and authoring of test procedures and scripts (proprietary scripting language)
  • Verified integrity, consistency, and testability of software requirements
  • Traced test procedures to software requirements in DOORS
  • Performed Configuration Management and problem reporting tasks using Merant Dimensions
  • September 1997 to March 2006 - Senior Engineer - GB Tech, Houston, Texas

    See GB Tech above. I worked in a staff augmentation capacity on Space Station (Boeing) and Space Shuttle (USA), but the DO-178B verification for the Joint Strike Fighter was a deliverable to Smiths Aerospace performed at GB Tech's Software Engineering lab. I also performed short field contracts for Boeing and LDRA.

  • Performed Validation & Verification testing on Guidance, Navigation and Control avionics for Space Shuttle; wrote test procedures in FrameMaker and TSO mainframe test scripts to drive actual Shuttle computer hardware
  • Wrote software test harnesses and hardware test procedures for CANProbe Battery Management software for Joint Strike Fighter
  • Developed process for using LDRA Testbed for Analysis and Testing on JSF
  • Performed field support/sales for Testbed and TBRun under contract to LDRA
  • Developed TCP/IP Client/Server code for cockpit joystick simulator for Boeing CEV(Orion) proposal
  • Wrote and performed procedures for Electrical, pressure and leak testing on Space Station hardware
  • Wrote and used LabView data collection programs and test procedures for thermal testing in vacuum at NASA's Johnson Space Center
  • Setup Apache/Tomcat with SSL and SQL Server for employee time charge reporting

    I worked as a direct hire at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) at their plant in St Louis. I also had 12 months of Cooperative Education experience from 1990 to 1992, during which I was granted a Secret Clearance.
