GB Tech is a provider of engineering services with about 400 employees nationwide. I have supported several projects at GB Tech:
- Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV) for Lockheed Martin through United Space Alliance
- Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO) and Interplanetary Boundary Explorer (IBEX) for Northrup Grumman
- Joint Strike Fighter for SAFT (CANProbe Battery Management) and Meggitt (fan software) Engineering
My principal duties are:
- Script Development in C++ with Source Navigator, Visual C++ and Green Hills MULTI
- Algorithm Analysis in MATLAB with Simulink
- Requirements Tracing in DOORS
- Unit Testing with scripts written in C and auto-generated by LDRA and T-VEC
April 2006 to February 2007 - Software Engineer — Technisource, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
I worked in the Technisource Engineering facility to provide a deliverable to Smiths Aerospace for the Boeing 767 Global Tanker Transport Aircraft.
The deliverable was the Hose Drogue Controller (HDC), a PowerPC running the VxWorks RTOS. The code was written in C and compiled with gcc under CygWin and Wind River Tornado.
Developed process and directed team (20 engineers) in implementing DO-178B Level B Coverage testing with LDRA Testbed Performed functional requirements verification of Control Laws, ARINC 429 interface, and Built-in Tests through code inspections and authoring of test procedures and scripts (proprietary scripting language) Verified integrity, consistency, and testability of software requirements Traced test procedures to software requirements in DOORS Performed Configuration Management and problem reporting tasks using Merant Dimensions
September 1997 to March 2006 - Senior Engineer - GB Tech, Houston, Texas
See GB Tech above. I worked in a staff augmentation capacity on Space Station (Boeing) and Space Shuttle (USA), but the DO-178B verification for the Joint Strike Fighter was a deliverable to Smiths Aerospace performed at GB Tech's Software Engineering lab. I also performed short field contracts for Boeing and LDRA.

February 1994 to June 1996 - Senior Engineer - McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis, MO
I worked as a direct hire at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) at their plant in St Louis. I also had 12 months of Cooperative Education experience from 1990 to 1992, during which I was granted a Secret Clearance.
I worked on the F/A-18 Hornet program from 1994 to 1996. During college, I worked on the Harpoon missile and the National Aerospace Plane (NASP).
